WHO WE ARE
SPIRO Creative are storytellers that use video to build relationships between businesses and customers using what we call heart & soul filmmaking. WHAT WE DO We create more than just video. We find the heart of your business and express that to the world in a way that authentically connects you to your audience. WHY WE DO IT The etymological origin of "SPIRO" is latin: To Breathe Life Into; Breathe the Spirit of; mind, soul & courage. We unearth your businesses most powerful narrative - why you do what you do- and create a boundless, soulful expression that resonates with viewers as a beacon amongst the sea of hollow marketing. Your story deserves to be told. We want to tell it. |
CREATIVE BRIEF
1. The Entrepreneur’s Best Friend
A high-energy woman comes in to a UPS store laden with boxes: she says she’s just started a home-based business, knitting. She needs to ship several packages. She then gets excited about getting a postal box for her business, business cards, banners and printing! She is so overwhelmed with all the paperwork for her business. The clerk says they can
help: incorporation, business registration, corporate filings, etc. She is ecstatic. Cut to the UPS store logo and call to action. We see the woman and the clerk once more: the woman says he/she is a lifesaver. She stops herself as she is leaving and asks “You don’t knit, do you?” The clerk says, “No, sorry.” The woman replies, “Worth a shot.”
2. The Dog House
An engaged couple are dividing up the chores that need to be done on their “Wedding to-do” list. With over-the-top heroism, the husband says, “Honey, you go pick the flowers, the cake and the dress. I’ll do the hard stuff. I’ll do the invitations, get them printed and shipped.” She is very impressed, kisses him and promises him his favourite dinner tonight.
He walks into the UPS store, and we see how easy it is to do it all with a one-stop shop. His fiancé walks by and sees him inside. She sees the signs: Printing, packing, shipping. She scowls. He sees her through the window, staring daggers at him. He asks the clerk, “Do you have a back door?"
3. We Do Everything
A UPS clerk says to camera: “What do I do here at the UPS Store?”
We see a montage of the clerk helping customers with various tasks (A woman is holding an obscenely large stuffed giraffe in her arms. The clerk holds up a box, a pile of other boxes at his/her feet. “I think this one will work.”) that devolve into the absurd. (He helps a customer pick out the best headshot, etc.) The clerk. “I do pretty much everything."
These are just 3 sample ideas but we can definitely think up some others.
