The B.C. Home & Garden Show was ground zero for businesses this past week, and none brought more innovative and life-changing products than Heritage Beds. Owner Mark Nagra and his fantastic team were onsite to showcase the amazing IRONMAN Recovery Mattress and the Ca-Bed-Za. The IRONMAN Recovery Mattress utilizes Celliant technology, a remarkable composition of 13 optically responsive minerals within the fibres of mattress cover, which reflect ultraviolet light energy back into the body, causing capillaries to open up. This process has been clinically proven to increase oxygen levels in the blood by 15% during sleep. This increased oxygenation aids in healing and reducing muscle stress, aches and pains. The bottom line is you get a better night's sleep and feel better the next day, which is priceless. The Ca-Bed-Za proves big things come in small packages. Perfect for small living spaces, this cabinet bed folds out from its ornamental phase into the out-for-the-count phase in less than a minute. Passersby were stopped in their tracks by the functionality and the ease-of-use. I'm very glad that I waited until we had completed filming to try out the beds, because I knew once I laid down, I wouldn't want to get up again. I was right. Our first seminar, "8 Keys To Making Great Online Business Video", is in the books! Thanks to DeAnn Bremner, the force behind Empower By Design, for having us at her event, and thanks to all the wonderful ladies who attended. The goal for Adera and I was to make sure the audience walked out with some gems on how to implement or improve their video to boost their business. While we were focused going in with what they would take away, we ended the night grateful for what we took away, as there was a greatly inspiring creative energy coming from all the ladies. It was a great shared experience, and we are looking forward to doing it again soon! If you missed it last night, we will be giving it again in the near future, so sign up to our newsletter or "like" us on Facebook to stay in the loop, and sign up for Adera's "Wow From The Inside Out" Networking Seminar For Women! In most professions, you meet new clients. Adera and I are lucky enough to meet new friends. Filming Linda Adsetts for her company "Go For The Joy" was effortless. All I had to do was point the camera and capture her authentic energy, which she radiates. I had started off the day thinking we were filming FOR HER, and it didn't take me long to realize that somewhere after meeting her, Linda had tipped those scales wordlessly, and the experience was FOR US. It is a unique experience to walk into a situation feeling like an expert, and leave feeling like the recipient. I hope we were able to present a fraction of what Linda projects in person, because even that would resonate long after the video is over. As an Access Consciousness Facilitator and Intuitive Reader & Healer, Linda is so attuned to energies that I felt just from our first time filming that she didn't just know me, she understood me. The bond that she and Adera quickly shared was made as easy as the eagles above us made their flying look - something so remarkable made humbly simple. Linda and her dog Jack gave me a welcome reminder that life is too short, and no matter what, we can choose. We can choose to play. We can choose to smile. We can choose to go for the joy. Learn more about Linda at her website and revisit her video here. Hawaii is not a state of mind, but a state of grace. Adera and I are back, reluctantly, from 9 days in the soul-refreshing sun and sand on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, feeling recharged and newly-inspired. It was my first time to Hawaii, and it took very little time for me to fall for its easy, blithe seduction. The landscape of the island is a fascinating amalgam of rugged rocks forged from molten beginnings 5 million years ago which command a humble respect, and the lush greenery that, if the rocky terrain is the masculine identity of the island, swathes the landscape with a feminine, fragrant allure. The story of Hawaii that I was lucky to find so early - on my first day, in fact - is that there is a effortless rhythm, like a gentle inhale-exhale, an unhurried engine of life. I found myself in the water off Poipu Beach face-to-face with a sea turtle grazing on algae on the seabed, and was transfixed by its easy nature. Within its economy of movement and tranquility of the silence, the gentle rhythm of the island took hold of me, and although I'm now back home in front of the computer, I am still trying to embody it. On my last day I found myself back in the same spot with perhaps the same turtle, and I followed its path without a sense of time, the pair of us carried by the ebb and flow of the waves until, with a languid push from its fins, it finally disappeared into the murk, leaving me grateful and inspired. Adera and I had an amazing time, and I'm excited to look at the footage I shot, which you will see very soon. Mahalo! |
