We all, at one time or another, dream of a getaway. We close our eyes and hear the faint rustle of the wind through the trees, smell the fresh air and feel the grass between our toes. 
That feeling, that getaway, is Pretty Estates Resort.
Tasked with producing a video to promote the wedding services at the resort, Adera and I hopped in the car and headed to Harrison Mills, only a little over an hour away, and what we found was a piece of paradise. 

The tranquility of the area is breathtaking, and the unique setting became immediately apparent, as when we walked to check into the manor home that has stood for nearly one hundred years, a small plane landed on a strip between the river and the golf course presided over by 180 foot Douglas Fir trees. The Resort, with the manor home and four riverfront cottages, restaurant and 18 hole golf course, offers the perfect spot for a wedding - it's close to home and manages to transport you away to a peaceful time, and the scenery is stunning. It definitely made an impression on Adera and I, as we are already talking about going back to stay for a weekend.

It was SPIRO's pleasure to put together a promotional video for Ocean Park Village, showcasing all that the community offers to families, businesses and residents and visitors alike. It is a vibrant community, and we are proud to present such a place that prides itself on co-operation, and the unique charms of the Village's woods, beaches and shops speak for themselves. The friendliness of the citizens is heart warming, but there is also a peacefulness in the tranquility of the parks and beaches I haven't experienced for a very long time, and we tried to bring all of these facets into the video. Watch the video and let us know your thoughts below. Adera and I are very lucky to collaborate with creative souls like Judy Carlson Bulpitt of Judith Laurel Photography. We followed Judy on several assignments and it was everything we could hope for in a project -  capturing some magic footage in beautiful locations, and making new friends.

Judy has an engaging and relaxing way of bringing the best out of her subjects, and her attention to details, especially locales and lighting, breathe life into her photos. We had a great time working with everyone involved in this project, and if it captures half of what Judy brings to the table as a photographer who makes music with her photos, then I feel like we did well.

Charmaine Lang with Lang Design Group chatted with a contractor onsite at her latest renovation in North Vancouver while SPIRO was there to take in the demolition action. The residential home is undergoing a renovation of the deck, kitchen and 2 baths, but it's a relatively small job for these seasoned pros.  Charmaine is sure to keep her client on budget and in the loop around every decision. We are going to be capturing the 12 week transformation from beginning to end in addition to producing a promotional video for Lang Design Group.

As part of the full-service approach of the Lang Design Group, Charmaine Lang is well versed and knowledgeable in all facets, as she's not only an Interior Designer but a Project Manager as well.


She has a real passion for what she does and it shows in her work, as she goes above and beyond to identify and address her clients' needs and is very communicative with her contractors. What I really appreciated about her is that she gives her clients the break in cost of all materials,  so they actually save money by working with her, and she alleviates any stress that may try and emerge through a reno; she stays cool and confident, as she has everything under control.
